Mr Vivek Nama is a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist practising at 25 Harley Street, BMI Shirley Oaks Hospital and Ashtead Hospital. Mr Nama specialises in Laparoscopic surgery and has received formal training in Gynaecological Oncology to acquire the skills to prevent, diagnose and treat gynaecological cancer. He completed RCOG accredited sub-speciality programme in 2014 and was appointed as a Consultant Senior Lecturer at the University of Bristol as Research lead in Gyn Oncology and undergraduate teaching.
Mr Vivek Nama has an impressive array of qualifications and certifications that demonstrate his expertise and dedication to women's health. He is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, which indicates his proficiency in the field. He has completed several advanced training speciality modules in Gyn Oncology and Labour Ward, as well as an Advanced Skills Module in Menopause Care. These courses are RCOG and GMC accredited, ensuring that he has met the highest standards of education and training. Moreover, Mr Nama holds a British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology Certification for Colposcopy, which showcases his expertise in the detection and management of abnormal cervical cells. He also obtained a Master of Research (MD Res) from St. George's University of London, which provided him with the knowledge and skills to conduct research in his field.
Mr Vivek Nama underwent further formal training in Gynaecology Oncology after acquiring skills and experience to hone his expertise in the field. He also authored various papers and book chapters and conducted meta-analyses for Cochrane reviews, demonstrating his high calibre for research. In recognition of his achievements, Mr Vivek Nama received a visiting Fellowship at Memorial Sloane Kettering Hospital in the US, where he learned some of the best practices in cancer care. Upon completing my RCOG-accredited sub-speciality program in 2014, Mr Vivek Nama became a Consultant Senior Lecturer at the University of Bristol. Mr Vivek served as the Research Lead in Gyn Oncology and undergraduate teaching. During his tenure, he secured a charitable grant to investigate the identification of biomarkers that could predict response to chemotherapy in ovarian cancer and recurrence rates. He had an immensely fulfilling experience working in the academic world for two years.
