Top Gynaecologists is a trusted gynaecology clinic at Gloucester Road, London. We are committed to providing you with the best care and service, including our comprehensive annual check-up.
We fully understand that regular check-ups help maintain your reproductive and overall health. That’s why we offer yearly check-ups tailored to your unique needs and medical history.
During your check-up, our experienced gynaecologists will conduct a comprehensive examination, incorporating a pelvic ultrasound scanning, Pap smear and STD screening. We will also review your medical history and discuss any concerns you may have.
Our annual check-up includes the following:
A pelvic ultrasound scanning allows our gynaecologists to examine your reproductive organs, including your uterus, ovaries and cervix.
A pap smear help to screen for cervical cancer. It involves collecting cells from your cervix and examining them under a microscope.
We can provide testing for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) to ensure your continued reproductive health.
High blood pressure can indicate underlying health problems. We will screen your blood pressure during your annual check-up.
An annual gynaecological check-up helps you maintain your reproductive health and prevent potential health problems. It detects early signs of gynaecological cancers, sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and other reproductive health issues. It also provides an opportunity to discuss birth control options, menopause symptoms, and other concerns related to women’s health.
Annual gynaecological check-ups are recommended for all women, regardless of age or sexual activity, starting at age 21.
During a pelvic exam, your healthcare provider will examine your reproductive organs, including the cervix, uterus and ovaries. They will use a speculum to open the vagina, and then insert a gloved finger into the vagina and use the other hand to press on the lower abdomen to feel the uterus and ovaries.
A pelvic exam may cause discomfort, but it is not painful. Let your healthcare provider know if you experience pain during a pelvic exam.
We recommend your annual gynaecological check-up when you are not on your period. However, if it is impossible to schedule at another time, you can still have the check-up while on your period.
